March 14th Updates

Dear Parents/Guardians;

It is survey season and with that comes your opportunity to share your thoughts about our school. Below you will find an attachement that provides links to information about the purpose of the survey, the online survey, our school development plan and budget and fees information. The survey does not take long to fill out so if you have 15 minutes to complete it, we would be grateful. The survey is open now until March 30th at midnight. On Wednesday, March 19th at 6:30 pm at our next School Council meeting I will be presenting information related to our school development plan and school budget/fees. If you would like to hear more information, please join us online at this link:  Join the meeting now

As well, grade 4 parents, please take a bit of time to fill out the Alberta Education Assurance Survey which closes on March 21st. All of these opportunities for feedback provide us with valuable information that helps us improve. Thank you in advance!

Just a reminder that parent teacher conferences are being held online on Thursday, March 20, 4:00 - 7:45 pm and Friday, March 21, 2025, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. You can sign up for a conference time through your MyCBE account. There is no school for kindergarten students either day in order to provide enough interview time slots. There is no school for anyone on Friday, March 21st. Spring break starts right after conferences. The first day back to school is March 31st, 2025.

Tuscany School will be a much different place after spring break. As you know, Laura will be starting a new amazing chapter in her life. She has been such an integral part of the fabric of this great school and we will all miss her terribly. I have learned so much from her and am grateful for her kindness and patience. Although we can never replace Laura, I am pleased to let you know that retired Principal, Duncan White, will be joining us for the remainder of the year as Acting Assistant Principal. A permanent Assistant Principal will be hired during the spring staffing rounds. Duncan and I go way back so I know he will be a good fit and this will help us to just hit the ground running. His start date is April 14th.

Thanks to School Council for running another successful Read-a-thon campaign. There were so many dedicated readers and happy prize winners. Thank you for fostering a love of reading.

As always, if you need anything or have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Lesley
