It's beginning to look a lot like winter! I hope that you all got where you needed to be safely today. If you ever get in a bind and are going to be late for pick up because of an accident or something, please don't hesitate to give the office a call.

Just a heads up that there seems to be a bit of a stomach bug traveling around the school right now. Alberta Health recommends that if a child is vomiting they should stay home for a minimum of 24 hours. If you could please try to adhere to this recommendation, we may be able to limit the number of children who get sick. Thank you. I know it isn't always easy.

The following email was sent home regarding School conferences next week:

School Conferences will be held in person, at Tuscany School on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. 

Important Dates:

  • Now: CBE/PowerSchool Parent Account set up is available, if you do not already have an account
  • Thursday, Nov. 21: Scheduling of conferences opens for parents at 7:00am using your CBE PowerSchool account
  • Thursday, Nov. 28: School Conferences from 4:00pm to 7:30pm
  • Friday, Nov. 29: School Conferences from 8:00am to 12:00pm - No School for Students on this day

Booking a Conference:

You will be utilizing your CBE/PowerSchool Parent Account to schedule conference times. Booking opens at 7:00am on Thursday, Nov. 21.

If you have not yet done so, parents will need to create a new account at https://sis.cbe.ab.ca/public/home.html using your student’s CBE ID number.

  • Once you have scheduled your Conference, you will receive a confirmation email confirming the meeting date and time. If you do not receive an email, please check your “Junk Mail” for it.

Please be reminded that there is a no stopping zone in front of the school along Tuscany Drive to allow for our school buses to pick up and drop off students. Please do not stop your vehicle in this zone for any reason between 8:00-9:00 am and between 2:30-3:30 pm. Thank you for respecting these times to ensure safety of our students. 

A reminder that there is no drop off or pick up permitted in the staff parking lot, not even for Coded Minds. Last week there was nearly an incident as teachers are not anticipating students, parents or drivers exiting the parking lot during the busy time in the morning.
