Principal's Message Oct. 9-13 | Pumpkin Patch & Halloween, Photos, School Council, Kiss n Drop, Community Coalition
Salut École Tuscany School Community!
We are hoping you have had an enjoyable long weekend, and that you were able to spend time with family and friends. We will see cooler temperatures this week and perhaps even some rain. As teachers frequently take students outdoors for learning tasks or Daily Physical Education (DPA), we ask you to please check the weather and prepare your child with the right clothing for the conditions each day. Thank you!

Tuscany Pumpkin Patch & Hallowe’en
It is time to start planning for our Annual Pumpkin Patch! Students and families are invited to display their carved or decorated pumpkins in the schoolyard (weather permitting) on Tuesday, October 31, for all to enjoy.
On October 31, students are invited to wear a costume to school that allows for them to still participate in learning activities. Please be mindful of scary costumes - avoiding violence, excessive blood, gore, weapons, or item that could be misconstrued as weapons. Please avoid masks at school as students still need to be able to participate in learning activities at school.
Teachers will soon be sending you a personalized email with more details about Pumpkin Patch and the Hallowe’en plans they have for their classroom.

Tuscany Community Coalition
The following information was shared at the October Tuscany Community Coalition meeting:
- Teen Leadership Opportunity: The Tuscany Youth Council is looking for two new members to join the Council. If you have (or know of) a student in Grade 10 or 11 who is a Tuscany resident and might be interested in a fun leadership opportunity, let them know they can apply to participate in the Tuscany Youth Council. If interested, the youth should email: youth@tuscanyca.org for more information.
- Pumpkin Decorating contest: The Tuscany Community Coalition will be holding a participation draw for families who submit a photo of their decorated pumpkins! Don’t forget to snap some great photos of your pumpkins once they are decorated. Stay tuned for more information from TCC about how to participate in this initiative.
- Lighting the Tuscany Christmas Tree: The Tuscany Community Coalition, as well as Sandy and other generous Tuscany residents, are coordinating fun activities around the decoration of the Tuscany Christmas Tree. Save the date on November 25 to be able to participate as a family. Stay tuned for more information about this, coming soon from TCC.
